Roberto Salmeron Festschrift

The papers which follow are being published to celebrate teh 80th aniversary of Roberto Salmeron. Roberto has, naturally enough, a variated relation to the different Authors. Colleague for a few, master for many example for all. This is a tribute to the Scientist, teh Professor, The Friend.
Roberto Salmeron has played a fundamental role in the development of Physics in Brazil. He gave essential support to the estabishment of the Instituto de Física Teórica (IFT) in São Paulo and made important work at the budding Centro Brasileiro de Pesquisas Físicas (CBPF) in Ri, in the fifties.
