Não sei se li um número suficiente de livros escritos por Neil Gaiman para fazer uma afirmação tão temerosa, mas aí vai: você é capaz de reconhecer um conto, romance ou roteiro dele, mesmo sem saber previamente quem é o autor, pela marca registrada de todas as suas narrativas o tom onírico, que está sempre balançando entre o sonho e o pesadelo, entre o belo e o terrível.
