The inexplicable live of Rose

At dawn, sleep is short and insomnia leads my thought to the topic "abortion liberation or not", whose arguments and facts I watched on the TV news "Profession Reporter" the night before. Between one reflection and another, I decide to start a research and write about abortion in my 3rd book.
The week ends. On Sunday, the desire to eat roast chicken makes me go to the snack bar “Di's mother-in-law”. While the chicken is cut, I ask all those present:
— Does anyone know any woman who has ever had an unsafe induced abortion?
Rose stops cutting the chicken for a moment, looks in my face, and says:
— You came to the right place, I had six!

On another day of a lot of conversation between us in the snack bar, I decide to include her real story among others of fiction. It is agreed that we will meet at the snack bar on Wednesdays, at three in the afternoon, so that I can record her life reports.
The tape recorder is my proof. In some accounts, smiles and laughter are inevitable. In others, indignation, misunderstanding, and revolt prevail. In many, almost all, tears fall on my red face and I feel a lump in my throat from the pain of emotion, as a consequence, silence prevails for a few seconds. She talks about what she went through: sexual grooming, abortions, difficult relationships with her mother and siblings, violence, and rapes. Painful truths that are told to me. Everything happens in two cities: in the north and west zones of the capital of São Paulo and in Cerqueira César, a beautiful and small town in the countryside of the state.
I decide to postpone the fiction stories to another book, this one will be entirely about Rose's life. A real, exciting, sad, and complex story. Hard to digest for my standard of living. I did not understand! I hope you, reader, can understand. And I pray that you are not or know another person whose life bears any resemblance to her life.
