The Religious Situation

A short read recommended only for the Tillich enthusiast. It is a penetrating analysis of European developments in art, science, philosophy, and politics as they relate to what Tillich calls the religious situation (the degree to which temporal events point beyond themselves to the Unconditioned). The analysis is given in the mid twenties, and is prescient about the threat the Nazis pose to religion and culture in general.
