I had known, for quite some time, that the wonderfully crafted children's film of the 1980's The witches (Convenção das Bruxas in Brazil) was based on a book, this book. And quite for some time as well I had wanted to read the book. I finally did, and I am appalled to realize that its ending is quite different from the movie - and bold! The book is quite politically incorrect as well, as it "teaches" children never to bath as well as that only women can be witches (stereotyping much?).... leia mais
