The book provides a LOT of information about the investigation of the John W. Gacy's crimes: how the crimes have been hidden for so long, how the police eventually got him and his trial. Everything is written in detail and, sometimes, graphic details. I couldn't expect less of a true crime book. Sometimes, when describing some of the disturbing facts about the crimes, the author writes about the feelings of the people involved. Such a strategy is just an attempt to make the reader feel more repulsed; it would be better if there was an extra chapter where the people involved could express their feelings about everything. The book is supposed to be about facts, not feelings. But, in the end, it still is a good book and extremely well written.
