O tédio é real

Não tem nada de errado com The Switch, só que eu simplesmente não consegui entrar na história. Já faz um tempo que eu tenho me decepcionado com Women's Fiction e esse é mais um na lista.
Essa é a história de duas mulheres: Leena e sua avó, Eileen. Elas invertem de cidade e de rotina quando a Leena é obrigada a tirar férias de 2 meses do trabalho.
Eu ouvi o audiobook, então vamos falar sobre ele primeiro. Eu amo a Daisy Edgar-Jones por conta de Normal People, então eu amei escutar a voz dela narrando os capítulos da Leena. A narradora da Eileen também é excelente. O único defeito que eu notei é que a Daisy fala um pouco mais rápido, mas ainda assim eu escutei as duas na mesma velocidade. Elas conseguiram prender minha atenção e eu não fiquei "viajando" (o que acontece comigo em muitos audiobooks).
Agora, em relação à história: eu não poderia ligar menos. Eu gostei da avó mas não o suficiente para salvar a leitura. O plot foi bem previsível, a maioria dos diálogos foram entediantes e o aspecto emocional não foi... emocionante?!
Eu ainda acho que muitas pessoas podem gostar de The Switch MUITO MAIS do que eu, porque não é um livro ruim.
