Rachel Cusk
Rachel Cusk nasceu no Canadá em 1967 e passou grande parte de sua infância em Los Angeles antes de terminar seus estudos em uma escola de convento na Inglaterra. Ela estudou Inglês no New College, Oxford, e viajou bastante na Espanha e na América Central. Seu primeiro romance, Saving Agnes (1993), ganhou o Whitbread First Novel Award. A Life's Work: On Becoming a Mother (2001), é uma exploração pessoal da maternidade. Em The Lucky Ones (2003), ela usa uma série de cinco narrativas, vagamente ligadas pela experiência da paternidade, para escrever sobre as transformações da vida; O que nos separa daqueles que amamos e o que nos liga àqueles que não entendemos mais.Em 2003, Rachel Cusk foi nomeada pela revista Granta como uma das 20 'Melhores dos jovens romancistas britânicos'.
