Thriller militar interessante, escrito por um dos grandes nomes desse gênero literário: Frederick Forsyth.

A narrativa envolve uma grande caçada ao melhor estilo "gato e rato". O protagonista, um fuzileiro naval norte-americano de codinome Rastreador, deve deter o misterioso e altamente perigoso terrorista conhecido como Pregador.

Nessa perseguição incessante, vemos como o autor possui um domínio impressionante sobre o funcionamento das agências de inteligência internacionais e a forma como elas operam em suas missões.

Apesar de a missão ser bastante interessante e contar com boas cenas de ação, sinto que o desenvolvimento dos personagens deixa a desejar. Embora o autor dedique extensas biografias a cada um deles, eles não possuem uma profundidade significativa, ficando restritos a uma caracterização mais superficial.

Mesmo com essa superficialidade na construção dos personagens, ainda assim é uma leitura envolvente e bastante interessante para os amantes de narrativas de ação e temática militar.
