"Eu vi você na batalha", continuou ele, sussurrando contra a bochecha de Trey. “No sangue e no caos, eu vi você lutar contra dragões. Você é justo e leal. Você é o melhor de nós.” Sua língua molhada estalou sobre a de Trey. “Não posso segurar sua alma errante por muito tempo, mas vou levá- la enquanto posso.”

"Não quebre meu coração, Trey."
Trey também se inclinou, sua boca pairando perto da de Venali. “Eu não vou,” ele sussurrou, os lábios roçando os de Venali. “Eu vou ficar e sou seu.” Poucas palavras pareciam tão certas. Trey beijou- o dolorosamente suavemente, o primeiro beijo desde que ele tropeçou meio morto na charneca.

Eu estava ansiosa pela história do Trey, pois, como mencionei nas últimas resenhas, o personagem cresceu em mim e senti falta de suas aparições nos últimos capítulos de "blood and ice".

Esse spin-off serviu para amenizar um pouco minha curiosidade sobre o que aconteceu entre ele e Nye, reforçando mais ainda o quão bondoso e gentil — e sexy — Trey é.

Tenho que dizer que o plot twist foi muito previsível. Em 40% de leitura a trama já havia sido desvendada por mim. Isso não é algo necessariamente ruim, mas eu esperava algo mais emocionante.

Adorei conhecer Venali, o sentinela também se tornou um personagem especial na história e sua relação com Trey foi interessante de acompanhar. No entanto, senti falta de aprofundamento em seus traumas, assim como faltou desenvolvimento no próprio amor que possuia pelo mensageiro. Entendo de onde veio, ainda que pudesse ter sido melhor trabalhado.

As cenas hot foram muito bem escritas. Imagino que a narrativa tenha vindo, além de pretendendo dar um desfecho ao Trey, para apimentar mais a saga. E se eu estiver certa, vale a nota que recebeu.
