Brandon Sanderson é um escritor de fantasia e ficção científica norte-americano, nativo de Lincoln, Nebraska. Ele completou seu mestrado em Escrita Criativa em 2005 na Brigham Young University, onde hoje leciona a mesma matéria. Ele foi indicado duas vezes ao prêmio John W. Campbell, ganhou o prêmio Hugo e duas vezes o prêmio David Gemmell, entre outros.
