Após um escândalo envolvendo a grande rede de Fast Food chamado Big League Burguer, Pepper— a filha perfeccionista dos donos do estabelecimento, encontra-se em guerra nas redes sociais com um pequeno restaurante familiar que acusou a famosa empresa de plágio. Pepper só não poderia sonhar que o indivíduo por trás desta confusão era ninguém menos que Jack, o palhaço de sua turma que sonha em sair da sombra de seu irmão gêmeo.

Recordo-me de ter finalizado este livro cerca de um mês atrás, contudo meu sentimento em relação a ele foi de tanta indiferença que até divaguei para escrever uma resenha. O enredo foi bem divergente daquilo que eu ansiava, possuindo uma história pobremente desenvolvida e um drama comicamente tosco. Pepper e Jack apesar de adoráveis, não foram bem trabalhados pela autora— algo deplorável considerando a premissa focada especialmente no relacionamento de ambos.
Por fim, gostaria de categorizar como uma leitura leve e delicada que talvez houvesse de me agradar com maior intensidade quando mais jovem— que todavia, para meu senso literário atual não passou de uma história desamparada e definitivamente esquecível.
