Uma leitura bastante interessante e original

Burn Our Bodies Down foi minha primeira experiência com a Rory Power e foi muito surpreendente.
Eu não leio tanto Young Adult mais, mas o gênero desse livro é terror e eu fiquei curiosa, por isso solicitei o audiobook no NetGalley.
O livro começa com a Margot morando com a mãe, e elas tem uma relação bastante instável. Quando a Margot descobre que tem uma avó, ela foge da sua cidadezinha e vai para a fazenda da família. Coincidentemente, tem um incêndio na plantação quando Margot chega, e ela encontra um corpo entre as chamas.
Eu tive alguns problemas com a escrita: é muito descritiva, desde o cenário até os sentimentos da protagonista. Porém simplesmente não funcionou pra mim: teve muito drama familiar, que ficou repetitivo rápido, principalmente porque a narradora do audiobook tentava transmitir as emoções muito intensamente. Mas o final desse livro: UAU. Eu não esperava o plot twist nem um pouco, os ciclos se encerraram de um jeito satisfatório e demonstrou a criatividade da autora.
