Happily ever after is only the beginning as Belle takes on the responsibility of becoming queen and learns to balance duty, love, and sacrifice, all while navigating dark political intrigue-and a touch of magic. Belle is no longer an innocent girl in search of her first real adventure. When the Enchantress's curse was broken, Belle, Prince Adam, and their household returned to the world as if nothing had happened-a world that had forgotten about them. But they can never forget what they've seen. Though Belle is married to a prince and lives in a palace, deep down she still feels like that provincial girl in the blue dress. Her struggle mirrors the larger one taking place across France. The country is on the brink of revolution, and Belle and Adam fear it's not long before the rebellion comes to their home of Aveyon. To protect themselves and their people, they secede from France, and Adam is crowned King. But Belle refuses the title of Queen-a title she never wanted. When Adam leaves suddenly on an unexpected trip, Belle finds herself alone on the throne. As she holds her own against a scheming royal Advisory and a growing rebellion, Belle discovers the ancient magic of the Queen's Council-and learns that being queen is so much more than just a title. Rebel Rose is the first in the Queen's Council series, an empowering fairy tale reimagining of the Disney Princesses-and the real history behind their stories-like you've never seen before.

    Merece mais hype

Achei esse livro no booktube gringo, e me interessei.

    Emma Theriault

EMMA THERIAULT was born and raised in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada, and thus has a penchant for gothic revival architecture and a constant craving for Beavertails. She has been everything from an enthusiastic bookseller (who once sold a book to Prime Minister Trudeau) to a purveyor of whitewater rafting adventures in the Interior of British Columbia. When not writing books about curses and blood magic, she can be found eating burritos, hiking with her boyfriend or cuddling with her cats, Gatsby and Harriet.
