É tão bom ser fã da pessoa certa

A Lady Gaga e a sua mãe, Cynthia, há alguns anos, fundaram a Born This Way Foundation com o intuito de ajudar jovens que lidaram com algum tipo de trauma, como homofobia, bullying ou racismo, e como consequência esses traumas se tornaram uma luta diária em sua vida adulta.

O nome da Fundação acompanha o álbum musical de mesmo nome da cantora que aborda também os temas mencionados acima, incluindo seus próprios traumas, e tem como objetivo dividir a sua dor com os fãs para aprendermos juntos a lidar com os nossos demônios internos, e, por isso, essas músicas já salvaram inúmeras vidas (minha incluída!).

Este ano, no ano em que o Born This Way completa 10 anos desde o seu lançamento, Gaga e Cynthia se juntam novamente para ouvir mais sobre os participantes de sua fundação e lançam um livro com suas histórias, motivações e evolução, para ajudar quem ainda não chegou lá e a quarentena tornou as coisas mais difíceis ainda.

Para quem não me conhece, eu tenho esse envolvimento extremo como fã da cantora exatamente por me identificar com o Born This Way e por já ter sido emocionalmente dependente de suas músicas, algo que hoje, felizmente, eu superei. Mas a gratidão nunca vai embora, né?

É por isso que eu não perdi tempo em comprar esse livro para conhecer mais sobre outros fãs que também viveram algum tipo de dor, e hoje tem algo belo para compartilhar.

O livro conta com uma edição belíssima, capa dura, recheada de ilustrações, e com várias participações da própria Lady Gaga enaltecendo os participantes, incluindo uma introdução reveladora e muito intensa dela.

Nem preciso dizer que chorei em boa parte dos textos, certo?
