When New Yorker Adam Bell moves to the small Southern town of Canelius to work as an announcer for radio station WCAN, he spins records of love, but his personal life is in shambles. Then he meets Susan, daughter of Canelius's savviest businessman. The two quickly marry but Adam is unable to rid himself of the demons that have defined him.
