Bom, mas não pra todos.

Após ver o filme, fiquei um bom tempo atrás do livro no qual ele foi baseado. Uma grata surpresa, não só pelo livro ser superior, mas também por ser tão diferente (e rico) que a aridez de idéias mostrada do filme.
Embora transite entre os campos da fábula urbana, da road trip, do thriller de suspense e do sci-fi, o livro não é o habitante típico de nenhum desses reinos.

O livro tem seu ponto alto na sinceridade e pungência com que expõe os sentimentos e o mundo interior complexo e crível da protagonista. Enquanto isso, seu ponto mais fraco fica na previsibilidade das críticas, no tom muitas vezes panfletário, previsível e barato (mesmo que na maioria do tempo bem disfarçado) das opiniões do autor através da voz interior da personagem.

No fim, é uma leitura que vale a pena pra quem se interessa por uma personagem feminina complexa e bem escrita, que escape dos horríveis estereótipos da insuportável onda chick lit que tomou o mundo literário de assalto.
