Não foi dessa vez que a Kiersten White me conquistou. Todos os livros que já li dela me causaram a mesma sensação: bom, mas nada excepcional. The Guinevere Deception foi um tombo que não esperava. Talvez a expectativa tenha afetado negativamente a minha leitura, uma vez que sou a louca da lenda arturiana mas ainda assim, o livro é simplesmente parado demais.

Pela sinopse, a impressão que temos é que será um livro na corte do Rei Arthur, cheio de intrigas, politicagem, perigo... A realidade é completamente diferente: uma protagonista que passa o livro inteiro sem saber o que está fazendo, perdida e sem propósito.

Os últimos 15% são um pouco mais interessantes mas ainda assim, não foi o suficiente para melhorar a experiência de leitura por completo. Todos os personagens parecem rasos demais e Mordred parece ser o único que tem alguma motivação dentre todos eles.
