Confesso que esperava mais dessa história, porém, não consigo avaliar esse livro com uma nota menor que 3,5 (é uma boa nota gente, calma), já que o talento da Elizabeth Acevedo para escrever narrativas em verso é inegável e vale cada estrela. Vi muitas reviews positivas desse livro no booktube gringo e como eu já tinha lido "A poeta X" no início do ano, minhas expectativas estavam altíssimas. O enredo não é ruim, fala sobre luto, acho que quem já perdeu alguém muito querido de forma trágica e repentina vai se identificar muito com a dor de Yahima e Camino. Só que alguma coisa ficou faltando, acredito que seja a profundidade que eu senti lendo "A poeta X". Gostaria que o livro não tivesse focado por tantas páginas nas reações das meninas e tivesse se voltado mais para a construção do relacionamento que elas poderiam ter como irmãs. Aplaudo a autora por trazer à tona a história de um acidente verdadeiro que atingiu tantas famílias dominicanas (basta pesquisar sobre "American Airlines 587") e que é pouco falado, mas, para mim, não é o melhor livro dela.
