Um ano na Provence é um livro que comecei sem grandes expectativas mas que fascinou-me,se tratando do tema viagem na Europa em busca de uma vida simples.
Com uma narrativa incrível e extremamente bem detalhada,Peter Mayle conta em 214 páginas e 12 capítulos cada um retratando um mês do ano em que o autor e sua esposa viveram,desde sua saída da agitada vida na Inglaterra para a calmaria do Sudeste da França,Provence.
Peter Mayle nos proporciona a sensação de viver com lindas paisagens floridas,a vida tranquila,os vendavais de seu atual lar e até mesmo os vizinhos e conhecidos que tornam a vida na fazenda mais divertida,seja o fazendeiro ao lado,o caçador de cogumelos ou a senhora com o burro.
