Mar, a twenty-four-year-old who cannot hold down a job, squints to see the potential of his future… as long as he never has to stare down the mistakes of his past. After all, he is now a highly successful bartender at the local hipster bar in his newly gentrified hometown. It nearly pays the bills, and no customer cares much for the deeper meaning in his actions, if there even is one. This plan seems stupidly perfect until a vaguely familiar and ungodly gorgeous man in a flamingo shirt parks himself at a booth one night. Mar’s eyes, nor brain, can leave the man alone. He appears just another attractive customer until he returns to the bar again and again, angrier each time than he was before, and seemingly at Mar. As Mar works to unravel his unknown connection to this beautiful man, he comes face-to-face with all the memories he has been trying so avidly to avoid and realizes that there is no future until there is a clear past. A darkly humorous twist on the average millennial trying just hard enough to not hate himself anymore.
