Um título bem apropriado para a personalidade da protagonista .
A história é sobre uma jovem que cresceu nos Bálcãs em meados dos anos 70 a 90 (Iugoslávia / Montenegro ...) e vários outros nomes pois essa região era formadas por várias repúblicas buscando autonomia e independência Tempos de turbulência, violência, desabamento econômico. Uma sensação de decadência ,falta de esperança ,permeia essa região e a estória.
Eu realmente gostei das múltiplas vozes de mulheres na narrativa, triste, poderosa, profunda,
depressiva, tanta coisa acontecendo aqui com Catherine "A Grande e a Pequena", ela é uma fortaleza, sereia, uma mulher que sobreviveu. Às vezes eu a via como uma garota fraca, ingênua ou pessoa irritante também. Ela é uma mulher real, não é perfeita ou super-heroina , então eu desculpei seu caráter e atitude tão passiva, a vida é um area cinza, sobe e desce ...
Gostei muito desse livro sobre a vida de parte da Europa com pouca cobertura da mídia aqui a não ser em caso de guerras.
