Curto e intrigante

Que mistério gostoso de ler! Uma história rápida, fluida, curta e divertida sobre um assassinato em uma padaria…
Nunca pensei que me interessaria pelo famoso gênero cozy mystery, mas que experiência boa.

Foi muito interessante acompanhar Jules Capshaw e sua mãe no comando da padaria Torte.

Além do mistério de quem havia cometido o assassinato, no clássico estilo “who done it”, mergulhamos nas histórias pessoais dos personagens, em situações vividas por eles e em como elas impactaram em quem eles se tornaram.

Entrei nessa leitura esperando algo rápido e divertido, mas bem superficial. E o que encontrei foi uma profundidade inesperada, principalmente na história da protagonista.
Como essa é uma série com muitos volumes, acredito que veremos ainda mais crescimento e desenvolvimento de todas as pessoas dessa cidade pequena e pitoresca, que tanto ama seu festival inspirado em Shakespeare.

Uma grata surpresa essa leitura! E, com certeza, continuarei a ler os próximos volumes da série entre leituras mais densas!
