Alice Guy Blaché was not only the world's first female director, but in 1896, she became the first of either sex to direct a fictional film. She continued her career in the United States, founding the Solax Company in 1910, and producing and directing 350 more films. Complementing the text are reprints of contemporary articles on Alice Guy Blaché from the American trade press, a reminiscence by her daughter, a brief evaluation of the career of her husband, Herbert Blaché and a complete filmography.

O livro é a alto biografia de Alice que nos conta muito detalhadamente a vida dela ela é até bem discreta e não fala quase nada sobre o divórcio e nem nada ela foi uma mulher incrível e é a minha maior inspiração e ídola alice merece muito mais reconhecimento pois poucas pessoas sabem que ela existiu ou quem ela foi.
Ela com certeza foi uma das pessoas mais incríveis que já existiu
No final do livro tem um capítulo que a filha dela escreve contando sobre o fim da vida de Alice e fica claro que ela é realmente modesta ao nos contar a sua história pois a filha conta coisas incríveis q ela nem mencionou
