Todas as selas do Rei Midas são mandadas para o quinto reino, sob uma nevasca forte e com vários de seus guardas, no decorrer do trajeto todos as carruagens contendo as selas são emboscadas, todo o ouro presente ali seja na carruagem, vestidos e até mesmo a própria favorita do reino atraiu atenções indesejadas e a vida de todos é posto a prova, elas são levadas, porém os guardas que as acompanhavam tem um destino muito pior. Durante a embarcação ao navio dos sequestradores, todos estão muito agitados e não o bastante de repente uma águia pousa trazendo uma mensagem que deixa todo o navio paralisado, os soldados do Reino quatro estão a caminho para negociar. Coisas muitas estranhas estão prestes a acontecer, segredos serão descobertos, e uma aventura em busca da própria autodescoberta está prestes a acontecer.

E a história só melhora, eu disse que já tinha uma personagem favorita? Pois a lista aumentou por que o capitão Rip assumiu esse comando. No segundo livro da serie vamos ter muito mais desdobramentos e reviravoltas e surpresas inesperadas ( ou esperadas, quem assim como eu criou e acertou algumas teorias já feita no primeiro livro). Algumas respostas vamos encontrar aqui mais, por conseguinte, várias outras surgiram o que torna tudo mais interessante. Gostei muito da parceria e amizade que está florescendo entre os soltados do quarto reino com a Auren, as verdades que agora distante de seu rei ela consegue enxergar melhor, do seu amadurecimento e tomadas de decisões só que ainda não está 100% falta muita coisa ela aprender, descobrir e se permitir. O capitão Rip tem ajudado muito Auren nessa autodescoberta de si mesmo o que me fez ficar ainda mais encantada com o personagem. Todos ali tendo um companheirismo foi um ponto muito forte na história como eles se ajudam e se doam. Ansiosa já para a continuação.
