Uma história de superação.

Confesso que achei que não ia gostar muito do livro, porque o começo não estava me prendendo. No entanto, no final, acabei gostando das reviravoltas que a trama deu e me conquistou.

A história de Lakshmi é encantadora no que diz respeito a força de uma mulher. Gostei do que a autora quis passar com as situações vividas pela personagem, a cultura da India que é retratada através das castas, o machismo presente na sociedade e como uma mulher, sozinha e independente, pode superar tudo isso.

O que não gostei foi o fato de faltar uma pitadinha a mais de drama, mas entendo que a autora escreveu esse livro de forma leve porque a mesma quis fazer um oposto do que foi a vida da mãe dela, que não teve escolha de quando ia casar, quantos filhos ia ter e etc.

Enfim, uma história bem heartwarming que valeu a pena de acompanhar.
