In a nightmarish vision of the implosion of the modern world, he, like his predecessor attempts to fathom the meaning of love, sex, suffering and regret.

Fiquei profundamente tocada pelos temas que perpassam a narrativa dos Daniéis: a velhice, a decadência (sexual, física) e o desejo da juventude eterna e estéril, asséptica, incapaz de amar. E o amor, volúvel, volátil, incandescente do patético Daniel. É um livro intenso demais para uma resenha minha, mas marcou profundamente todo o meu ser.
