Para quem ama a velha Hollywood

É um pouco datado? É! Melodramático? Bastante! Mas como eu amo histórias ambientadas na 'Era de Ouro' de Hollywood, eu simplesmente devorei esse livro!

O livro cobre basicamente duas eras de Hollywood, a era dos anos 40 e 50, mas também avança além da era de ouro para a era dos anos 60 até os anos 80. Ele mistura personagens fictícios e realidade e é dividido entre 5 protagonistas, Gilda e seus protegidos.

Gilda é retratada como uma estrela de primeira ordem da Era de Ouro, acho que em termos de fama ela seria equivalente a Greta Garbo, Betty Davies ou Marylin Monroe, e eu vejo na construção da personagem algumas características das vidas dessas grandes artistas. Como o sexo era uma moeda de troca comum para se entrar em Hollywood e como as grandes estrelas tinham uma vida extremamente curada para o público e desregulada a nível pessoal.

Os quatro protegidos me conquistaram, cada um a sua maneira, fiquei triste com a May e vibrei com o crescimento dela, torci muito por Inês tomar um rumo diferente e vi que a vida dela foi muito condizente com muitos que passaram por Hollywood na época mais desenfreada que ela viveu, e torci por Devon e por King igual uma menininha de 15 anos rs

Gostei muito do final, esse livro me deu vontade de reassistir uns 30 filmes diferentes e já entrou na minha listinha de livros que eu vou definitivamente acabar relendo um dia desses.
