Five prominent biophysicists have set up the Wildfire Project, to investigate the frightening possibilities of a biological emergency. Suspense hightech de boa qualidade

Um bom livro que prende bem a atenção e com a quantia certa de páginas para que o leitor não sinta a história arrastar (problema muito comum em livros de Dan Brown de gênero similar). O enredo se desenvolve de forma crível, sendo ficção científica daquele tipo "isso realmente poderia acontecer". A leitura é leve e de linguagem fácil e a história focada nos eventos envolvendo as pesquisas para desvendar os mistérios por trás da praga, não tendo nenhum aprofundamento ou foco em personagens e suas interações sociais, o que dá aquele aspecto filmesco à coisa toda. É um livro agradável, entretém bem e é facilmente devorado pois você quer rapidamente saber qual a próxima cena. Tendo lido as novelizações spin-off da franquia Alien recentemente, considero este livro um nível acima em relação àquelas novelizações.
