Excelente ponto de partida!

Este livro é o melhor ponto de partida para um iniciante ou entusiasta da fotografia no que se refere a compreender as características que compõem e dão significado às imagens.

Aqui o autor faz uma introdução bem abrangente sobre princípios estéticos, técnicos e psicológicos da composição fotográfica.

Esta é a segunda vez que leio este livro, após quase 12 anos (a primeira vez foi na edição original em inglês), pois sua didática é tão boa que vou usá-lo como base para preparação de algumas aulas. E também pude constatar que o trabalho de tradução foi muito bem feito.

Michael Freeman é um fotógrafo que viaja pelo mundo retratando lugares, culturas e pessoas de forma mais espontânea e com o mínimo de intervenção, e o livro é bastante direcionado para esse tipo de fotografia.
Mas com um pouco de atenção e criatividade, é possível aproveitar as lições e adaptá-las para sua própria realidade.
Eu trabalho com ensaios fotográficos em estúdio e nem por isso o conteúdo deixo de ser valioso pra mim.

É uma leitura obrigatória para quem quer levar a fotografia a sério, seja como amador ou profissional.
