No one made a less likely spy than Josef Vadassy, a self-effacing teacher with a passion for photography. But when the gendarmes confiscate one of his films and find photographs of top-secret siege guns, the evidence against him looks damning. The onlly way he can prove his innocence is by tracking down the real spy himself. One of the other guests at his hotel must be guilty-- but which? Inexperienced in the arts of espionage, often frightened, Vadassy blunders towards the truth. There are many false trails, for in these tense times everyone has a secret to hide. It is not until the climax of the story, after a nightmare chase over the warehouse roofs of Toulon, that Vadassy comprehends the full extent of the betrayal he has witnessed.

I enjoyed the story, but i thought it would be better. The end was not that good for me and i couldn't remember anymore who was who out of the guests hahaha. I think they were different from each other, but not too memorable. The main character is a pain. He just thinks he is smarter than everyone (oh boy, so annoying sometimes hahaha), but i liked the humor of the narative. In general, i think the story was entertaning, but it could have had a better plot twist and characters more distinguishable. It looks like the author is able to make you imagine a lot of plots but he didn't really deliver them in this book.
