Vivien Spooner has had a really bad day, first her Ex-Husband called wanting her back because the young blond he left for has deserted him, then she found that her Grandmother is sick, her bakery faucet is leaking, the milk went bad, the list goes on. The only good part was a quick glimpse of Rex Samuels, the man of her dreams for the past five years. Lone Wolf Rex Samuels has wanted Vivi since he moved to town five years ago, and has almost decided that it's time to do something about it. When Vivi is attacked by a Feral, a Werewolf that can't control his change, he knows that he must speed things up in order to protect her from the Ferals and help her understand what is going to happen. Now Vivi and Rex are heating things up between the sheets but will she understand when Rex finally comes clean about what he is and what she's about to become?

Flesa Black has given us a story with just about everything; horror, pathos, drama and comedy all roll together to make up her newest release; Big Bad Wolf. Even as the story is building, through wolf attacks, learning about Rex's sad past and confrontations with Vivi's Ex, there is enough ironic comedy to lighten the mood and make you laugh. I loved the characters, especially Vivien's grandmother (she's a card, as my Grandpa would have said). I also liked the world building and backstory that went into this and I dearly hope that Ms. Black will revisit this world at some point because it leaves the possibility of a sequel open but not guaranteed.
