Some things you simply couldn?t hide from. Some things you could never escape. He?d already discovered that, though. He?d learned the lesson well.

Foi um livro bom, confesso que talvez li ele em um momento que acabou impactando um pouco a minha avaliação, nos últimos meses estou lendo mais livros de fantasia e suspense, então não me apeguei muito ao romance.

A história tem como os personagens principais Clara e Jonah, e o destino deles se entrelaçam após ela ir atrás de uma lenda que existe na cidade de Nova Orleans, na qual dizem que se você fizer um pedido Angelina pode te ajudar a realizar.
Clara acaba conhecendo Jonah no momento que ela faz um pedido e com isso a trama vai se desenvolvendo e conhecemos melhor Jonah que tem um passado trágico, de muita culpa e cicatrizes que ficaram e que mudaram completamente a vida dele.

Confesso que o romance não me prendeu, não foi ruim mas também não consegui me envolver muito com os personagens, achei muito bom ter todo um suspense por trás da lenda e termos o desfecho disso.
Amo a cidade de Nova Orleans e acho que poderia ter sido muito mas bem utilizado na trama.
Contudo, para quem gosta de romance e procura algo leve, vale a pena até porque está disponível no Kindle unlimited a versão em inglês.
