Silver Nitrate quase funcionou para mim!

A primeira metade deste livro foi tão incrivelmente lenta e entediante para mim que considerei desistir. Continuei porque estava querendo desesperadamente encontrar um livro de Moreno-Garcia que eu gostasse, e estou feliz por ter conseguido! Mais ou menos! O ritmo mudou consideravelmente durante a segunda metade, o que chamou minha atenção e me manteve lendo.

Tristán e Montserrat foram bons narradores e gostei de suas diferentes perspectivas ao longo do livro. SMG fez um ótimo trabalho ao desenvolvê-los como personagens incrivelmente distintos e seus caminhos ao longo do livro, assim que a segunda metade começou, foram interessantes.

Eu gostei de todas as partes mágicas, até certo ponto? A ligação com o nazismo foi muito desanimadora e eu gostaria que os personagens não tivessem ouvido (ou não tivessem lido) tanto sobre como as coisas funcionavam e tivessem descoberto algumas partes sozinhos. Fiquei um pouco cansada de todas as exposições/monólogos do começo ao fim.

O final foi divertido, no entanto! Teve muita ação e a magia saiu mais forte do que nunca. Um ponto que realmente não foi para mim foi o romance no final - eu não achei que isso fosse necessário.
