Resenha: Episode Thirteen

Episode Thirteen foi uma das minhas leituras de terror mais esperadas para este mês e... foi só ok? Uma coisa que adorei foi a estrutura e o formato da história com todas as descrições de vídeo, entrevistas, e-mails e mensagens. Sempre gosto de juntar as peças de uma história por meio de algum tipo de correspondência escrita e isso foi, pessoalmente, super divertido de ler.

O ritmo era um pouco lento, no entanto. Houve muita configuração em relação à introdução de personagens e introdução da mecânica de Fade to Black, o programa de TV. Então levou algum tempo para o enredo realmente começar e para o fantasma e o negócio de assombração se tornarem parte da história. Quando isso aconteceu, as coisas ficaram bastante tensas e interessantes!

Mas acho que não gostei tanto quanto esperava porque tudo começou a se arrastar um pouco depois de um tempo. Os elementos de terror não estavam tão presentes quanto eu gostaria e havia muitas cenas repetitivas de personagens sentados e conversando sobre o que iriam fazer. Foi um pouco difícil me manter envolvida com a história.

E então o final e suas reviravoltas finais... não foram para mim. O livro realmente me perdeu com as últimas anotações do diário e a explicação sobre o que estava acontecendo. Não foi nada satisfatório, pessoalmente, e fez muito pouco sentido para mim a ponto de não conseguir suspender minha descrença. :/
