Violet “Violence” Sorrengail é uma garota forte, resiliente, engraçada e complexa. Seu coração é enorme fazendo-a ser muito protetora com as pessoas que ama. Ela deveria entrar para as Scribe Quadrant, para viver uma vida sossegada envolta dos livros, mas acaba por ser obrigada a entrar para os Riders Quadrant.

O romance é desenvolvido lentamente durante cada capítulo. Xaden Riorson é um líder poderoso, arrogante e misterioso (sem ser tóxico) que te envolve durante toda a leitura.
