Quando em uma missão ele perde seus companheiros de equipe e acaba sendo feito de refém pelos inimigos, ele está quase perdendo as esperanças quando é resgatado pelos companheiros de equipe da Jameson Force. Ao voltar ele traz um grande sentimento de culpa e impotência, ele então acaba se aproximando de Anna, viúva de seu colega de equipe e ambos acabam formando uma sólida amizade com uma forte atração entre eles. Achei uma história rápida de ser lida, não tem muita enrolação, o livro acaba focando mais dos traumas de Malik e na interação e cura de Malik e Anna.....gostei
