ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Daniel Gruber decided to write dark stories to purge his childhood demons. He holds a master's degree in Cultural Studies and a Phd in Creative Writing from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. He released the books "The Garden of Hesperides" (2017) and "Daily animals" (2019), on his own book press, O Grifo Books. He is the creator of the website escuromedo.com, about cinema and horror literature. He lives in South of Brazil with his wife, son and a cat.

Folk horror é um dos meus subgêneros de horror preferidos, portanto poder encontrar elementos rurais e míticos na história de Daniel Gruber foi um enorme presente. Esse é o tipo de livro que te devora e garante calafrios, te seduzindo a ler numa sentada só.

A experiência de leitura em “A Floresta” é como caminhar vendado por terras desconhecidas, sempre á espreita e á espera da luz - que talvez nunca chegue. Espectro. Uma gangorra entre o abismo e o farol. De forma gutural e poética, um cavar-enterrar daquilo que assombra.
