Arco que narra a saga de Rose Walker, uma jovem comum (até então), que busca reencontrar o seu irmãozinho perdido. Também somos introduzidos a mais dois perpétuos: Desejo e Desespero, que tramam contra Sandman.

Tudo aqui é perfeito, inclusive o capítulo paralelo "Homens de Boa Fortuna", que conta a história do homem que desafiou a morte e acabou ganhando a vida e juventude eterna, tendo relatado ao Sonho, em um encontro a cada 100 anos, tudo que viveu e aprendeu durante o tempo.

O arco também apresenta o Coríntio e Barbie, personagens que virão a ser importantes em outras histórias posteriormente.
