Fable é filha do maior e mais temido comerciante dos mares, mas encontra-se presa e por conta própria em uma perigosa ilha chamada Jeval. Após dois anos sobrevivendo como uma dragadora ela finalmente tem um plano em mente para escapar daquele lugar, envolvendo um barco pirata que sempre navega por lá e a ajuda de seu parceiro comercial West.

Esta foi a leitura mais diferenciada envolvendo piratas que tive a oportunidade de ler até o momento. Enquanto a maioria das outras histórias tentam sempre acrescentar criaturas marinhas para completar o enredo, este é um livro completamente focado na vida de uma navegadora.
Inicialmente imaginei que houveria um problema com minha leitura já que as páginas passavam lentamente e de maneira confusa ao considerarmos o excesso de detalhes narrados pela autora, contudo logo após meu ritmo avançou e eu não conseguia largar aquele universo de maneira alguma.
De fato, o primeiro livro que realmente me tirou da ressaca literária este ano— os personagens e os casais me agradaram bastante apesar de não serem tão apronfundados. Em geral, foi uma experiência ótima que me divertiu bastante.
