As punishment for repeated failures from the Malfoys, Voldemort decides to end the sacred bloodline of the Malfoy Family by forcing Draco into marriage with a certain Mudblood who is to produce the next Malfoy heir. ******* This story was meant to be dark and serious. But then these two idiots that we love came along and pretty much took over and well, I kind of just rolled with it. First off, let me start by reminding you, my dear reader, that Hermione and Draco’s Hogwarts relationship in this is canon, there’s no "he/she/they secretly loved each other in school" trope. They hate each other and always have. #ENEMIESTOLOVERS. Neither of them wants to be married to the other so yes, Draco is a prat and Hermione is a stubborn witch for a while. Also, Hermione hasn’t seen him in two years and doesn’t know him anymore, so she doesn’t exactly trust him – I mean, he is a Death Eater after all. So perhaps it’s safe to assume that she is a totally unreliable narrator. Perhaps Draco is an evil asshole, or maybe he is just tired and just wants a bit of normal in his life. Who knows? Either way, they are both forced into this marriage now and will just have to accept it. They might even actually fall in love. *spoiler: they do. Draco and Hermione are going to go through the confusion of what their forced proximity does to them and they might be unpredictable, out of line, toxic, annoying and well all the things you might expect from two people who fight against their urges. Draco is a mysterious duck and both you and Hermione will have so many questions and will struggle to understand him most days. Fear not though - answers will be revealed but it might take a while.
