"Um vilão estúpido faz ameaças, Charlie. Um vilão inteligente oferece serviços."

Gostei muito da forma que foi usada a vilania na história, voltada para o lado corporativo competitivo. Mas com um pezinho na ficção-científica.

Os livros do John Scalzi conseguem ser bem divertidos. É um humor bobo, caricato. Mas se bem executado, como é o caso aqui, funciona. Teve partes que eu gargalhei na leitura. São poucos os livros que conseguem isso comigo.

Acho que no geral os personagens são bem genéricos, servindo ao propósito da história sem ter um grande desenvolvimento. Ao menos é fácil ter empatia por Charles, por ser um falido e ter as reações que eu teria com o mundo dos bilionários vilanescos 😂.

O ponto negativo foi que o livro é uma grande introdução na maior parte do tempo. Com um texto muito expositivo e cheio de explicações. É compreensível até certo ponto. Mas sinto que o plot principal demorou para engrenar. Não foi uma demora arrastada (até porque a escrita é fluída) mas poderia ser mais objetivo.

De qualquer forma, é mais um livro divertido do autor. Vale a pena ler.
