Lurking, ever present in the conflict, is the memory of Naples, a wily, violent, and passionate city where the old man spent his youth and whose influence is not easily shaken.

Assombrações

Após a leitura de Laços, decidi ler tudo do Domenico. Simplesmente amei a escrita do autor. Ele prende o leitor desde a primeira página e é quase impossível largá-lo.

Com Assombrações, não foi diferente, mas a trama de Laços me prendeu mais e eu fiquei buscando neste, as mesmas sensações provocadas pelo outro. Talvez não tenha sido uma boa ideia e pode ter comprometido a minha experiência.

Apesar de muito bem escrito, não me envolvi tanto com essa leitura e, por isso, não recomendaria esse livro como porta de entrada ao universo do autor.
