Costanza Casati nasceu no Texas e cresceu em uma vila no norte da Itália, onde estudou a língua e a literatura da Grécia antiga, em um dos programas acadêmicos mais rigorosos do país. É formada no prestigioso programa de pós-graduação em escrita da Universidade de Warwick, no Reino Unido, e já trabalhou como roteirista e jornalista. Clitemnestra é seu livro de estreia.
