O livro é excelente e faz um ótimo trabalho em despertar no leitor o interesse nas áreas de virologia e epidemiologia. Gostei bastante de como a história começa recontando um pouco a vida de "Charles Monet" e fiquei bem curioso para saber quem realmente foi ele e como ele e "Peter Cardinal" de fato contraíram Marburg na Caverna Kitum, mas ao mesmo tempo eu gostaria que as descrições do que ocorreu tivessem sido mais factuais e menos da imaginação do autor, principalmente durante as descrições da operação em Reston (não acho que havia necessidade de descrever a forma como Nancy e Jerry Jaax se abraçavam para dormir, por exemplo), mesmo que isso viesse a deixar a história mais fragmentada.
