Sara Shepard já sonhou em ser estrela de novela, designer de Lego, cineasta, geneticista e editora de moda, mas quando cresceu virou escritora mesmo. Ela se formou na Universidade de Nova York e é mestre em escrita criativa pela Brooklyn College. Atualmente, vive em Tucson, Arizona, com o marido e três cães indisciplinados.
