Richard Carl Laymon
Richard Laymon nasceu em Chicago e cresceu na Califórnia. Bacharel em Artes com foco em Literatura em Inglês pela Willamette University, Oregon and an MA from Loyola University de Los Angeles, trabalhou como professor, bibliotecário e repórter para uma firma de advocacia. É autor de mais de 30 livros aclamados. Também publicou mais de 60 contos em revistas como Ellery Queen, Alfred Hitchcock e Cavalier, e em antologias tais como a Modern Masters of Horror (Mestres do Horror Moderno). Morreu de um ataque cardíaco fulminante em 14 de fevereiro de 2001, Dia de São Valentim, quando é comemorado o Dia dos Namorados nos E.U.A. Publicou também sob o pseudônimo Richard Kelly.
