Aces Up é mais um livro da Lauren Barnholdt que eu li e amei.

Aces Up conta a história de Shannon. Ela precisa juntar mais de vinte mil dólares para que consiga estudar na faculdade de seus sonhos. Primeiro, ela arranja um trabalho de garçonete em um cassino.

Ela mente para conseguir esse trabalho, pois é menor de idade. Por ser tão boa em matemática, o sedutor Cole, líder do grupo de apostas Aces Up, a convida para jogar pôquer e ganhar dinheiro. E ainda tem Max, seu ex-melhor amigoe paixão secreta, com quem não fala há meses.

O enredo da história é muito interessante, é óbvio que você começa a ler e pensa: vai dar tudo errado haha. E o pior é que dá mesmo. Mas, como em todos os livros da Lauren, a personagem se afunda e depois ressurge das cinzas, mais madura, mais confiante e cheia de aprendizados.

Shannon é engraçada e doidinha, duas combinações irresistíveis num livro. Você fica torcendo o tempo todo por ela! E o que falar de Max, sua paixão? Muito fofo!
