Eu nunca tinha lido nada da Siri. Comprei o livro na promoção da amazon. Li em dois dias e amei. É um livro de literatura cristã, mas não é superficial, nem religioso. Os personagens são complexos, estruturados de acordo com a época em que vivem, submetidos às pressões típicas do período histórico. Gostei muito. É romântico, sem ser simplista. Não consegui colocá-lo de lado. Quero ler outros livros dela.
Um fato muito admirável foi a pesquisa histórica feita pela autora. Os detalhes descritos nos fazem ver que a mulher ganhou muito na revolução feminina que aboliu certos ditames infames da moda.
