Adorei! Conta a história de Matilda –Mattie- 15 anos, que mora com sua mãe e seu avô em uma Cofeehouse na Filadélfia no ano em que ocorre a Febre Amarela. O surto. Quando surge a febre, muitos começam a morrer e com isso a mãe de Mattie a manda pra outra cidade e pra escapar dessa febre. Matilda vai e começa a ajudar num local que atende as pessoas com a febre junto com seu avô. Lá ela aprende muitas coisas e nesse tempo não tem notícias de sua mãe, nem de Natheniel (um garoto que ela tinha uma quedinha, que é muito fofo e ajuda muito também!), nem de ninguém da Coffeehouse.
No decorrer do livro ela vai sofrer perdas, vai amadurecer, vai ajudar muita gente e conhecer pessoas muito especiais.
O livro é muito bom! Em cada capítulo tem tipo uns pedaços de artigos de jornais ou coisas que alguém disse sobre a época da febre amarela. Em 1793.
É de Laurie Anderson, é ótimo, com personagens marcantes, é emocionante. É demais!
